Microphone Issues

After receiving the head unit, you may or may not experience microphone quality issues. If in any case, you experience one, here's what you need to do:

First, you need to perform an update since doing so fixes some common issues with the head unit. To do that, you may follow the steps outlined here: https://vhedia.com.au/download-x-series-update/

Now with the recent update, we did a thorough investigation, and here's what we found:
-The external microphone is really good at producing a very loud voice input of our customers, which is okay for some of our customers.
-Stock microphone can have the best clarity and loudness at the same time, which our customers prefer as it is balanced.
To have the best voice clarity and loudness at the same time, please follow these instructions.
If your head unit comes ZLink app for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto:
1: Please disconnect your external microphone.
2: Please navigate to Settings>Car Settings>Factory Settings>the code is 126>Volume>Find BT GAIN and put it into number 10.
If your head unit comes to SpeedPlayapp for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto:
1: Please disconnect your external microphone and delete your device within the Bluetooth app so it doesn't reconnect.
2: Open SpeedPlay and navigate to settings>Gain to 5.

If this still fails, please try to turn off your phone's Wi-Fi whenever doing phone calls.

Then if the issue persists, try doing a factory reset on the head unit.

1: Go to Settings

2: Scroll Down to the bottom

3:Tap System

4: Tap Reset Options

5:Tap Erase All Data (Factory Reset/Wipe)
